Cosplay, con, and sewing adventures 2014

Happy belated New years everyone. I hope the Christmas holidays were good to everyone. I got spoiled, I got a dressform from my mom and some sewing supplies which means I am excited to start my sewing adventures this year, which would be Daring Do-My little pony. I am super excited since I have two Rainbow dashes to go on epic adventures with. I also have never sewn anything like this before- but feel that I have learned a lot in the past year and look forward to starting this constume soon.
My great and amazing friend is also going to help me/teach me work on another major project this year GODdoka.
I have so many cosplay and sewing plans and can't wait to fill this year with fun, crazy sewing times, and then cons, cons,cons with my great friends.
I plan to be attending 3 conventions in Vancouver and one in Victoria.
First up I shall be going to Tsukino con in Victoria in Feb. I plan to be debuting my ERen Jaeger SNK cosplay. I am very excited for this cosplay because I LOVE this show. Its so good. I also spent a lot of money on it, and plan to wearing it to a lot of cons this season. I also will be cosplay RIN from Free! Look for me.

SPOILER WARNING... MADOKA MAGICA REBELLION.
can I just say something about the Madoka movie Rebellion reviewers I am seeing a lot of hate cause of what happened in the ending especially regarding Homura's character by people who JUST watched the series right before seeing the movie- like they marathoned the series in one sitting then went to see the movie and now they are bitching because of the 'yuri' fanservice. I AM SORRY but for someone to have done this and bitch about the characters being off or about Madoka and Homura's realtionship um....you did not really understand the characters or the story in which they ware trapped to begin with. For someone to sit there and claim that their wasn't a single hint of Madoka/homura in the series is just plain dumb.
Homura had sacrificed so much for ONE goal and that goal ultimately failed. You honestly didn't think that she would just be happy knowing that the very thing she based her entire existence around was unreachable did you? Regardless of what happened with Madoka making that wish and saving the world, Homura FAILED. She was unable to save Madoka. This was her goal through out the entire series- this was what drove her. So yeah I can understand perhaps people being uneasy with what went down in Rebellion but if you really think critically about it. This was the only course for her. The incubators used her emotions and her feelings towards Madoka (even without realizing it) as a science experiment and the result of which was that her 'grief and despair' were not wiped away at the end of her magical girl cycle and hence the knowledge that she FAILED to save the one person she sacrificed everything to save drove her beyond despair. She became twisted and in that moment her love also became twisted. When she became a witch she tried to stop what would happen later but Sayaka and the others and MADOKA herself 'saved' homura and it was in that moment she lost it all. In that moment her motivation was no longer to save Madoka but keep her by her side forever. She didn't want to be alone anymore and yet she did not want to be safe in 'heaven' either. IN a way Homura forsake her own soul to be with MADOKA.

A mini rant about ships

Just because you don't support a ship it does not mean you have the right to come onto my tumblr/fb/da/ LJ/whatever and tell me how wrong I am for supporting it. Nor does it give you the right to come up to me and tell me how much a certain ship sucks to my face. MLP Fandom I am looking at you. I don't care if you dislike Appledash...
I am so sick of shipping wars, and frankly I don't give a fuck if you dislike something or not. You don't want to ship USUK then fine, don't ship it but just because I like it doesn't give you the right to put me down. I don't need to know all the reasons why Francis or Matthew is a better match to Arthur then Alfred. I don't care.
Also news flash just because I ship USUK and Eereri it does not make me FUCKED up nor does it make me a bad person.
Frankly if you don't ship it that's fine but do not force this onto me.
I ship the hell out of those two pairings and don't care what you think

Please just stop the Fandom invasions

I am not writing this to cause drama or pick on a specific fandom but instead to write on the topic of other fandoms (one specific ) which seems to not be content in staying in their own fandom but invade others. The crossovers that happen as a result are one thing, and really don't bother me but the blant disrespect this particular fandom is showing towards other fandoms -Madoka is its latest target- is beyond disgusting and enrages me. I could go on and on and on about how much I hate this fandom and don't get why everyone loves this particular comic but instead I feel that I should just ask its fans a simple question. How would you feel if a bunch of Madoka fans (pretend you don't like Madoka) came into your fandom and ruined it? How would you feel if you were approached at a convention and told that we were going to come into your fandom events/meetups/photoshoots/etc and make it all about some kind of mesh up off the two fandoms? Do you see what I am getting at here? NOT EVERY MADOKA FAN LIKES YOUR Comic. please be respectfull of our fandom.
